About Barb
Barb's passion is teaching Computers/Technology and she keeps her class/one on one clients entertained and interested in this by going beyond what is taught in a standard textbook. Her classes and one on ones are full of participation and interaction through real life scenarios. Her goal is to have core understanding of the computer using simple exercises.
She is an outgoing, creative and enthusiastic teacher who is supportive and encouraging approach to teaching allows her students to exceed their expectations.
Her extensive experience in Information Technology and Training at corporate level, provides a solid background for her lessons.
She has taught over 3,000 people in 3 countries and loves handing on this knowledge.

2016 Volunteered as a National Olympic Committee Assistant working in the Olympic Village for the Delegation of Turkey.
2014 Won Tall Poppy Award from the Hastings Business Women’s Network given Life Membership.
2014 Mentored in the Hastings Business Women’s Network Mentoring Program.
2013 Won Hastings Heroine in 2013 for services to the country.
2012 Volunteered as an Assistant to the Australian Olympic Committee in London 2012.
2012 Was invited to sit on The Business Hub of the Port Macquarie Hastings Region representing the Micro Business Forum.
2008 Volunteered with Australian Olympic Team Beijing and working in the village and responsible for Athlete Services.
2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 Volunteered at the Port Macquarie Ironman.
2007 to current committee member of the Micro Business Forum, became Membership Secretary, 2011 became Vice President, 2013 became President and now Mentor.
2006 Set up the Coffee Computer Club in Redfern and gave pro bono computer training for people in disadvantaged situations.
2004 Volunteered with Australian Olympic Team in Athens 2004 and working in the village and responsible for Athlete Services. Also spectator services volunteer at the indoor volleyball in Athens.
2001 Founding member of the Spirit of Sydney Volunteers, a group of former Olympic volunteers getting together to spread the spirit of Olympism and to continue to volunteer at sports events.
