The Micro Business Forum Committee is dedicated to supporting small businesses with less than five employees. We work hard to provide education, support and networking opportunities to businesses in the Mid North Coast of NSW Australia.

Veronica Lind

I am honoured to be MBF's President. I strongly believe in sharing and learning new knowledge and the Micro Business Forum is a perfect platform to do this.

Members can learn from each other, industry speakers and subject matter experts.

It will be my honour as an International Business and Marketing Strategist to help local start-ups and small businesses build business confidence. I’m always thrilled to learn about the passion behind each business owner, why they do what they love to do and be motivated after each meeting!

I was invited to join the Micro Business Forum by a fellow marketeer - Louise Rakowski - and from the start, I was made to feel most welcome by all the members - they really are "the most friendly group in town".

Since then I have learnt so much, from both the members, who are very generous in the giving of their skills and expertise, as well as the invited guests. All of which has helped me tremendously with my own business.

I was delighted when I was asked to become the Membership Secretary, as I felt that would be a great way for me to "give back" to the group who have helped me through the ups and downs of owning my own micro-business.

I joined the Micro Business Forum in December 2018 as a start up to find a network of generous solopreneurs genuinely supporting your businesses to grow.

MBF offers plenty of opportunities for businesses to promote themselves and connect with like minds. The Micro Business Forum is practical - you learn latest marketing and social networking skills.

If you’re self-employed, freelancing, contracting or a business relocating to our area – come to our Coffee Connects to find out more.

I joined the committee in October 2019 to contribute to an empowering team.

I’ve been a Member since 2009 and a Committee Member since 2011 when I took on the role of Treasurer.

Now I am MBF's Vice-President.

Working with a dynamic committee to bring interesting and developmental opportunities to our members, is motivational - and keeps me involved.

Over this time I’ve learnt heaps from our speakers, interactive sessions and networking as well as our committee activities.

I joined the MBF Committee in 2010 and have been Membership Secretary, Vice President, President and I'm more than happy to stay with the committee as mentor small business owners.

My skills in public speaking, people skills and general organisation have greatly improved as a result.

Not only that we all have such fun and they are a great team and when I read terrific comments from the members my heart soars as I know the committee is doing what our members want.

I have been in the Micro Business Forum since its inception in 2003 when it was called the Home Based Business Club (HBBC).

As a micro business and working by myself I found this group essential for me to keep in touch with other like-minded business owners and get professional advise and guidance from the amazing speakers and workshops that have been an integral part of the success of this group. The group has always been a friendly, and definitely not “clicky” bunch of diverse micro business owners and the networking is great fun! I am very excited to be on the committee so I can help continue the tradition of helping both new and long term micro business owners move forward with the confidence to succeed.

I am passionate about small business and being on the committee allows me to assist people to move forward and promote their business.

I love the camaraderie  and I am learning so much from every other committee member, we have fun and that's what it should be about.

It's been a great pleasure to be part of the Micro Business Forum (MBF). Everyone is so connected and so eager to support one another.

I joined the committee at a time when drought, fires, floods and COVID-19 hit. That does not mean businesses stop. The committee continues to support members and MBF finds ways to motivate their members so they come out of this interesting time stronger.

I urge micro business owners to join MBF so that they can continue learning and receive support for their businesses.
