Lee Grigg, StreamStrong Ambassador

Lee Grigg worked as a casual teacher in the period prior to smartphones being permitted in schools and before tablets became widespread in homes. When she returned to teaching after eight years as a stay-at-home mum, she noticed a significant change in the students and within the classrooms.

In High Schools she noticed:

students not playing sport on the oval
girls sitting in groups but on their phones
boys playing video games on their phones or watching others play video games
literacy levels had dropped
a decline in students' respect for teachers
a decline in students’ mental health

In Primary Schools she noticed:

students were more distracted
literacy levels had dropped
students frequently disregarded instructions
lower levels of engagement
a decline in students' respect for teachers

She assessed that phones and devices had changed everything in just 8 years! From that moment, Lee became deeply concerned about the impact of screens on children.

ScreenStrong

Lee discovered ScreenStrong in January 2023 and qualified as an Ambassador for ScreenStrong in August 2024.

ScreenStrong empowers families to prevent screen addiction and reclaim their kids from problematic screen use (social media, video games, and pornography). Its solutions are not screen-free; rather they replace toxic screen use with healthy activities, life skill development, and family connections.

As a ScreenStrong Ambassador Lee is aiming to educate the community about the harmful effects of toxic screens on children's brains. This includes giving presentations on the facts of how toxic screens harm children, discussing preventative measures and offering practical solutions.

The target market includes parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, community and church leaders, home school groups etc.
